Poolside Pro: a walkthrough for your existing pool-service business

See how company setup, customer imports, route planning, service reports and invoice status fit together in Poolside Pro, with clear setup and payment prerequisites.

1. Start with your company and setup checklist

Open Pro account setup. If you are new, choose Create account on the Pool Pro sign-in screen. After signing in, create or select your company and complete the setup information for the work you actually do.

The setup checklist separates software readiness, marketplace readiness and optional items. Review the displayed incomplete or blocked steps rather than assuming that an account is ready to receive work or payments. Services, service areas, team and payment setup have their own requirements.

2. Bring your own customers into one workspace

The Customers workspace keeps customer, property, pool and service context together. CSV imports provide an upload, field-mapping, validation and commit workflow for existing records, including service cadence, route metadata and equipment details.

Start with a small file of records you are authorized to process. Review the mapping and validation results before committing. Check what was imported and fix reported errors before using the records to plan visits. An import is a data-management step, not a new homeowner booking.

3. Review routes before dispatch

The Routes workspace presents route lists, stop order, map context, planned windows and workload comparisons. Open a route to review its stops and the details needed for the day. A route with missing stops or planning information needs setup; it is not evidence of booked customer demand.

Use the actual addresses, schedules and team assignments for your company. Review proposed route changes before relying on them. This walkthrough does not claim a particular number of miles or hours saved.

4. Review the visit record and customer report

Completed technician visits can produce customer-visible service reports. The Reports workspace shows the report history and its review, approval, sending and viewing state. Open a report to review the recorded work, notes and supporting visit information before sharing it.

A generated report is not automatically proof of delivery. Check the displayed status and timestamps. Empty report history means there are no reports attached to that company yet; this page does not substitute example customer records for real work.

5. Keep invoices and payment state separate

The Money and invoices workspace distinguishes draft, issued, paid, voided and other invoice states. Review the customer, scope, amount and payment setup before taking an issue or collection action. A draft or displayed estimate is not collected revenue.

Payment collection and payouts depend on the connected account's setup and current status. Review any requirements, applicable terms and fees in your account. This walkthrough does not promise free software, instant payouts or successful charges.

Software use and marketplace work are different paths

Use the walkthrough to evaluate how Poolside organizes your existing business. Marketplace opportunities require actual customer demand, service-area eligibility and readiness; those are separate from importing customers or creating routes. Marketplace jobs are not currently available.

  • Before importing: confirm company access and the accuracy of your customer data.
  • Before planning visits: check customers, pools, schedules and team assignments.
  • Before sharing reports or collecting payments: review the record, recipient and account readiness.
