Compare a full 12-month service year in US dollars. Monthly = 12 payments; every four weeks = 13 payments per 52-week cycle. For seasonal or irregular contracts, choose per visit and enter the contracted count. Enter 0 for a confirmed zero charge; blank means unknown.
Compare task lists, visit counts, cancellation terms, taxes and weather policies as well as price. A lower entered total does not establish better value. Additional charges appear only when you enter them.
Use actual written quotes. This calculator contains no assumed local prices and does not rank service providers.
Recurring annual cost = quoted price × billing periods + known annual extras. First-year cost adds one-time setup or recovery charges. Monthly equivalent divides recurring annual cost by 12; it is a comparison figure, not an invoice schedule. Per-visit cost divides the recurring total by scheduled visits, including extras that may occur on separate dates.
A hypothetical $160 monthly plan totals $1,920 before extras. The same $160 billed every four weeks totals $2,080 over 52 weeks. That $160 difference comes from one additional payment. These figures illustrate arithmetic; they are not observed market prices.
Check which chemicals are included, whether filter cleaning is separately billed, how missed visits are handled and whether a green-pool cleanup is outside routine service. An unknown charge is not a zero charge. Enter only confirmed amounts and leave unresolved questions on the service-scope worksheet.
Weekly and every-other-week schedules may suggest 52 and 26 visits over a 52-week cycle, but holidays, seasonal shutdowns and contract exclusions can change those counts. Twice monthly is 24 visits per year and differs from every other week. Use the provider's written commitment. See weekly vs. biweekly pool service for responsibilities between visits.

No. A calendar year has 12 months, while a 52-week service cycle has 13 four-week periods. This tool uses those counts. Check the actual invoice dates and contract for your service year.
Only charges you enter are included. Add confirmed extras and applicable taxes to the annual-extras field without double counting amounts already included in the quoted price. Unknown charges remain excluded.
Use the per-visit option with the actual contracted visit count and price per visit. If a seasonal package cannot be expressed that way, compare its written package total directly rather than annualizing it as a twelve-month plan.
No. It compares the arithmetic of your inputs. Scope, qualifications, reliability, exclusions and cancellation terms need separate review.
